What is Love?

Genuine Love “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstances” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 When you ask different people from different walks of life with different beliefs if they know what love is and how to love, almost a hundred percent would probably say yes. But do we really know what love is? There have been a lot of definitions depending on a person’s perspective of love. But one thing is common to almost every person here on Earth; they choose who to love and what to love in a person. In order for us to learn how to love our neighbors, we must first know what love really is. And the best way to understand it is to seek for the one who started the love here on Earth, t

Tired Already?

“Tired for Doing Good” “Don’t get tired of doing what is good. Don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time.” -Galatians 6:9 Sometimes, doing what is good and pleasing to God may seem tiring, even boring and less adventurous. Or maybe you are doing it for so long that it seems so ordinary. No matter what kind of person you are, there will come a time that temptations will come. You will experience great curiosity on things you weren’t doing before. May it be for better or for worse. Sometimes, we feel that we are doing everything good yet no one even bother to thank and appreciate us. Discouraging isn’t it? During these times, let us go back to the beginning of everything, the cross. On that Cross, where so much love was given just for us. For us, sinners, wrong doers, impure, hard headed, boastful. Jesus never got tired on carrying that cross, because it’s the will of the Father for His people, because it was neede

Feeling Envious?

ENVY “Then I observed that most people are motivated to success by their envy of their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless, like chasing the wind.” Ecclesiastes 4:4 It is a fact that we don’t always get what we want. Sometimes even when we already have almost all the good things there will always be something you do not have that unfortunately, you will see in other people. The initial reaction to this is envy. We became envious because we think that life is unfair. Others may think that it isn’t envy, its motivation. Because we see what our neighbors have over us, we tend to do everything just to acquire what others have or what others had become that we envied. And then, we call it “AMBITIONS.” Isn't it wrong? That we replace envy, by the word Ambition? Ambitions are   strong desires to do or to achieve something  while envy is a painful desire on what others have. When you want something and you do everything to reach it because others have it and it is pa

Are you Beautiful?

“Eternal Beauty” “Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” -1Peter 3: 3-4             Being in the middle of my youthful days, I always experience the pressure in making myself beautiful and fashionable just to follow the trend set by famous and beautiful models and actresses. Clothes and hairstyles are being copied from anywhere just because it is the trend today. The next few months or weeks, the trend today will no longer be new and there comes another set you will have to follow if you want to be up to date in what’s happening in the present. This is the cycle of being fashionable nowadays. The mindset of every girl is like, if you are beautiful, you have to draw the attention of the crowd. In order to get their attention, you have to be fashionable like hair
