There is no Fear in the Light

Psalms 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? Fear is darkness . And there is only one solution to darkness, it is LIGHT. There can only be darkness when there is an absence of light. Same with our fears, we can overcome all of it using the liberating light of God. The Lord is our light and our salvation, whom shall we fear? Fear is controlled by our doubts but our Faith controls certainty. Fear sees darkness, while faith sees light. While fear sees wickedness, faith sees the goodness of the Lord. Nothing and no one can stop the light of God. So whenever we have the light of God, there can never be a shadow of darkness in our lives.   Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) If we obey His commandments, we follow His examples and...

Loving your Enemy

Matthew 5:43-44 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. The first step to love our enemies is to pray for them. Jesus said, ‘pray for those who persecute you.’ If we pray for our enemies, something mysterious happens inside us. It is like pouring icy cold water to your sizzling emotions. When we continue to pray goodness for our enemies everyday, one day you’ll realize that your anger has gone. And once we have removed our anger, we can start doing good things for them such as: Forgiving and forgetting about their sins against us. Forgiveness is an act of the will of the heart. And Christian forgiveness means that when we forgive, we also forget. Love keeps no record of wrongs. Reaching out to them. We do not just forgive our enemies, we also take steps to be closer to them. Real forgiveness demands restoration of relationship. Just like how Go...

Unworthy

We are worthless in God's holy presence. We are just worms in God's sight. We are nothing compared to Him. So in everything we say and do, we must always be reminded that God whom we are serving is a perfect God and the greatest of all. We must be careful not to boast of our goodness to Him because nobody is good enough for God. But then, the Lord does not look on our imperfections. He sees what's in our hearts and if we are willing to be His children, He will certainly accept and change us to be a better person. God sees our worth as His creation and His love for us makes us worthy to come to Him even though we're actually not.

Endure

The Lord do not want us to suffer but because we are sinners we have to experience the consequences of our actions. But even though it's like that, God never lacked when it comes to reminding us and even stopping us from doing sins that will eventually hurt us. So if we suffer, do not blame God. It's not his His fault. he let things happen for His greater purpose and He will never let us down if we remain faithful to Him. All the pain we experience is for us to grow and mature as people of God and to correct our mistakes. We learn through the pain and sufferings. But we have to endure and keep the faith.

Wisdom comes from God

Young people tend to be timid and shy to say what's on their mind because they think that they do not have enough knowledge and credibility to deliver a message. But then adults tend to think that because of their age, they know things better than those younger than them. Realize where wisdom is coming from. It's coming from God alone and the Lord can use both young and old, it doesn't really matter, to deliver His message or do something for Him. So young people do not need to fear and adults must not be too proud. All Wisdom comes from God alone.

OCC Parugan Children's Outreach

Last June 4-7, 2013, Emmanuel's Christian Family Life Ministries conducted the Operation Christmas Child Program. It is a program wherein Children are taught about Jesus Christ and they will be receiving donated gifts in shoe boxes. During these days, classes have already started so it is very hard for us, the Sunday School teachers, to compromise with the schedule of the kids. We weren't able to make them go to church for almost a week to attend the teaching program anymore. But this didn't stop us either from pursuing this activity. Instead of making the kids go to us, what we did is to go to them. Our head Sunday school teacher assigned us to different places to teach, some have partners, some didn't, depending on the number of children we are going to teach. Since I only have less than ten students, I was assigned to go alone in Sitio Parugan. I didn't know if I will consider myself blessed  that time because the venue where I will be teaching is the ho...

Generation Saved

Happy First year Anniversary GenSaved! I love you all guys and girls! We've been through a lot and we know that the Lord has always been with us. In every circumstance, The Lord proves that He never leaves nor forsakes us. He is truly amazing in our lives both individually and as a whole. Let us continue being servants of the Lord! "If you want to be like Jesus, you have to be a servant with a good heart. He said, "I came to serve, not to be served." (Mat 20:28). -A true servant of God will be willing to serve in lowly areas – areas that nobody else would want to serve in. -A true servant of God is that this person gives and serves without expecting anything in return. -The true servant of God will be willing to give of his or herself even to their enemies. -A true servant will never boast, or think of himself highly because he is serving the Lord. "It won’t even enter his mind that he did such good deeds! -True servants of God will serve with joy all t...

Tanag Children's Outreach

Praising and Worshiping the Lord is not something to be ashamed of. Instead we must be proud to let others see that we know how to praise and thank God for everything that He'd done to our lives. We can show our love for God when we know that praising and worshiping God is not crazy but a pleasing offering for God especially when it comes from a pure heart like these children. Continue dancing with praises and thanksgiving to the Lord because He truly deserves it. (with Zaira Merlas and Jessa Romero)

Worry

Worry makes us do things against God's plan. We try to disobey the Lord because we think that He's not doing anything. When we worry, it lessens our TRUST in God and we question His ability to keep what He says. And then we try to solve our problems on our own. We are leaning on our own understanding. We do what we think will be the solution. And the result will always be worse. Do not worry and trust God. Do not feel insecure because even though sometimes we don't see and feel God's actions in our problems, knowing that the Lord is with us is already the highest security we can have. He'll do something, just obey, wait and see.

Keep the Faith

Gen 50: 20 "... God turned your evil into good to save the lives of many people which is being done." Psalms 7:1 "Lord my God, I trust you for your protection. Save me and rescue me from those who are chasing me." The Lord allows problems and bad things happen to our lives but it doesn't mean that He leaves us with it. God is a God of Rescue. The Lord saves us, Sometimes we just have to endure, wait and keep our strong faith. Because surely, we will see how and why things happened the way they do. Do not worry and be frustrated in waiting for God's solutions, it may not come right away but it is always in His perfect timing.

What is Love?

Genuine Love “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstances” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 When you ask different people from different walks of life with different beliefs if they know what love is and how to love, almost a hundred percent would probably say yes. But do we really know what love is? There have been a lot of definitions depending on a person’s perspective of love. But one thing is common to almost every person here on Earth; they choose who to love and what to love in a person. In order for us to learn how to love our neighbors, we must first know what love really is. And the best way to understand it is to seek for the one who started the love here on Earth, t...

Tired Already?

“Tired for Doing Good” “Don’t get tired of doing what is good. Don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time.” -Galatians 6:9 Sometimes, doing what is good and pleasing to God may seem tiring, even boring and less adventurous. Or maybe you are doing it for so long that it seems so ordinary. No matter what kind of person you are, there will come a time that temptations will come. You will experience great curiosity on things you weren’t doing before. May it be for better or for worse. Sometimes, we feel that we are doing everything good yet no one even bother to thank and appreciate us. Discouraging isn’t it? During these times, let us go back to the beginning of everything, the cross. On that Cross, where so much love was given just for us. For us, sinners, wrong doers, impure, hard headed, boastful. Jesus never got tired on carrying that cross, because it’s the will of the Father for His people, because it was neede...

Feeling Envious?

ENVY “Then I observed that most people are motivated to success by their envy of their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless, like chasing the wind.” Ecclesiastes 4:4 It is a fact that we don’t always get what we want. Sometimes even when we already have almost all the good things there will always be something you do not have that unfortunately, you will see in other people. The initial reaction to this is envy. We became envious because we think that life is unfair. Others may think that it isn’t envy, its motivation. Because we see what our neighbors have over us, we tend to do everything just to acquire what others have or what others had become that we envied. And then, we call it “AMBITIONS.” Isn't it wrong? That we replace envy, by the word Ambition? Ambitions are   strong desires to do or to achieve something  while envy is a painful desire on what others have. When you want something and you do everything to reach it because others have it and it ...

Are you Beautiful?

“Eternal Beauty” “Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” -1Peter 3: 3-4             Being in the middle of my youthful days, I always experience the pressure in making myself beautiful and fashionable just to follow the trend set by famous and beautiful models and actresses. Clothes and hairstyles are being copied from anywhere just because it is the trend today. The next few months or weeks, the trend today will no longer be new and there comes another set you will have to follow if you want to be up to date in what’s happening in the present. This is the cycle of being fashionable nowadays. The mindset of every girl is like, if you are beautiful, you have to draw the attention of the crowd. In order to get...
