Tired Already?

“Tired for Doing Good”

“Don’t get tired of doing what is good. Don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time.”
-Galatians 6:9

Sometimes, doing what is good and pleasing to God may seem tiring, even boring and less adventurous. Or maybe you are doing it for so long that it seems so ordinary. No matter what kind of person you are, there will come a time that temptations will come. You will experience great curiosity on things you weren’t doing before. May it be for better or for worse. Sometimes, we feel that we are doing everything good yet no one even bother to thank and appreciate us. Discouraging isn’t it?

During these times, let us go back to the beginning of everything, the cross. On that Cross, where so much love was given just for us. For us, sinners, wrong doers, impure, hard headed, boastful. Jesus never got tired on carrying that cross, because it’s the will of the Father for His people, because it was needed to be done for us to be saved. Love so great and so much was given to us but we still have the guts to get tired of pleasing our Lord. Shame on us!

Let us stay in love with the Lord who first loved us. Let us give the highest praises and devotion that rightly belongs to Him. Let us continue to serve Him and do His will in our lives which is doing what is good. Because that’s the only way we can bring back the love He has for us. If it seemed unappreciated, don’t look at the people around you. It doesn’t matter. Because the Lord sees everything you are doing and someday, at the appropriate time, you will reap everything you sow, a harvest of eternal blessings. God bless you more!

Loving your Enemy

Matthew 5:43-44 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. The first step to love our enemies is to pray for them. Jesus said, ‘pray for those who persecute you.’ If we pray for our enemies, something mysterious happens inside us. It is like pouring icy cold water to your sizzling emotions. When we continue to pray goodness for our enemies everyday, one day you’ll realize that your anger has gone. And once we have removed our anger, we can start doing good things for them such as: Forgiving and forgetting about their sins against us. Forgiveness is an act of the will of the heart. And Christian forgiveness means that when we forgive, we also forget. Love keeps no record of wrongs. Reaching out to them. We do not just forgive our enemies, we also take steps to be closer to them. Real forgiveness demands restoration of relationship. Just like how Go...

There is no Fear in the Light

Psalms 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? Fear is darkness . And there is only one solution to darkness, it is LIGHT. There can only be darkness when there is an absence of light. Same with our fears, we can overcome all of it using the liberating light of God. The Lord is our light and our salvation, whom shall we fear? Fear is controlled by our doubts but our Faith controls certainty. Fear sees darkness, while faith sees light. While fear sees wickedness, faith sees the goodness of the Lord. Nothing and no one can stop the light of God. So whenever we have the light of God, there can never be a shadow of darkness in our lives.   Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) If we obey His commandments, we follow His examples and...

Godly Silence

Psalm 46:10 BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. IMPORTANCE OF SILENCE In Psalms, God instructs us to be silent and to stop or pause to see how He works. It is important that we learn when to pause, and start listening to God. Because in Silence, God speaks to us. Why do we have to be silent? In Silence, we feel God’s presence. We hear God’s voice. We cannot hear the voice of the Spirit if we let the noise of this world and our own mind keep on going. Especially in times of troubles, what we need the most is to be silent, pray and talk to God and we’ll feel better and at peace with Him. In Silence, we unite with nature, we refresh our soul and we grow. See the trees, the flowers, the stars and the moon, see how they move in silence. They move beautifully. In silence we can also move beautifully and gracefully, carefully guided by the Holy Spirit. In silence, we see what God can do. We don’t just feel Him, we see how great His works are. God moves in the most unexpe...
