Feeling Envious?

ENVY
“Then I observed that most people are motivated to success by their envy of their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless, like chasing the wind.”
Ecclesiastes 4:4

It is a fact that we don’t always get what we want. Sometimes even when we already have almost all the good things there will always be something you do not have that unfortunately, you will see in other people. The initial reaction to this is envy. We became envious because we think that life is unfair. Others may think that it isn’t envy, its motivation. Because we see what our neighbors have over us, we tend to do everything just to acquire what others have or what others had become that we envied. And then, we call it “AMBITIONS.”

Isn't it wrong? That we replace envy, by the word Ambition? Ambitions are strong desires to do or to achieve something while envy is a painful desire on what others have. When you want something and you do everything to reach it because others have it and it is painful for you to see it enjoyed by somebody else, that’s envy, my dear. Envy is meaningless, chasing the wind, chasing something you can’t ever chase. Even if you do get what you want, you’ll never be contented. It is not the will of God in our lives. The Lord wants to give us love, joy and peace. And having envy in our lives would stop us from having the joy in seeing beautiful things that God gave us, having the peace of being contented and experiencing the love of God in our lives. Stop reaching what others have, those are not real dreams. Seek the will of God in your life, live our lives to the fullest by seeing what we already have than looking for things that we don’t.

Success isn’t becoming greater than somebody else. It is becoming the best in what God wants us to be. Stop feeling envious on what others have. And see that you have more than what you think you have!

Wisdom comes from God

Young people tend to be timid and shy to say what's on their mind because they think that they do not have enough knowledge and credibility to deliver a message. But then adults tend to think that because of their age, they know things better than those younger than them. Realize where wisdom is coming from. It's coming from God alone and the Lord can use both young and old, it doesn't really matter, to deliver His message or do something for Him. So young people do not need to fear and adults must not be too proud. All Wisdom comes from God alone.

Godly Silence

Psalm 46:10 BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. IMPORTANCE OF SILENCE In Psalms, God instructs us to be silent and to stop or pause to see how He works. It is important that we learn when to pause, and start listening to God. Because in Silence, God speaks to us. Why do we have to be silent? In Silence, we feel God’s presence. We hear God’s voice. We cannot hear the voice of the Spirit if we let the noise of this world and our own mind keep on going. Especially in times of troubles, what we need the most is to be silent, pray and talk to God and we’ll feel better and at peace with Him. In Silence, we unite with nature, we refresh our soul and we grow. See the trees, the flowers, the stars and the moon, see how they move in silence. They move beautifully. In silence we can also move beautifully and gracefully, carefully guided by the Holy Spirit. In silence, we see what God can do. We don’t just feel Him, we see how great His works are. God moves in the most unexpe...

Unworthy

We are worthless in God's holy presence. We are just worms in God's sight. We are nothing compared to Him. So in everything we say and do, we must always be reminded that God whom we are serving is a perfect God and the greatest of all. We must be careful not to boast of our goodness to Him because nobody is good enough for God. But then, the Lord does not look on our imperfections. He sees what's in our hearts and if we are willing to be His children, He will certainly accept and change us to be a better person. God sees our worth as His creation and His love for us makes us worthy to come to Him even though we're actually not.
