Reproductive Health Bill's Positive Mission

Reproductive Health Bill is an act providing for a national policy on reproductive health, responsible parenthood and population development, and for other purposes. It aims to provide responsible parenthood and population growth and I as I see it is not contradicting any Church Law and/or Morality etc.

Church Leaders, Pro-Life and other religious sectors strongly disagree to the proposed bill. They believe that the bill is promoting sexual immorality. They see that the use of condoms and contraceptives endorses irresponsible sexual life which is sacred and is only for married couples.

I, personally believe that the mission of the RH bill is positive. There is nothing wrong with family planning for population control which the bill is primarily promoting. The proposed bill simply aims to teach every parent to be responsible so that they can provide what their children need including healthy lifestyle and proper education.

RH bill isn’t legalizing abortion. It does not aim to kill life. On the other hand, it wants to provide a comfortable life for every family. It aims to help the families achieve desired family size and prevent unwanted, unplanned and mistimed pregnancies and not to kill life.

In addition to this, the RH bill is providing not just knowledge for the parents but also for the next generation. As stated in Sec. 12 of the House Bill 5043, every student shall be taught about Reproductive Health Education which includes; Reproductive health and sexual rights; Attitudes, beliefs and values on sexual development, sexual behavior and sexual health,  Responsible parenthood, Abstinence before marriage, Responsible sexuality and other important matters about Reproductive Health. It does not propose to teach children how to achieve satisfying and safe sex in life, actually, it will mold every child to have a deeper sense of responsibility when it comes to sex.

The government says that this Reproductive Health and Population Development Bill can also be a way of diminishing poverty in our country, contradicting people says otherwise. The government has a point on saying that population is one of the key problems why poverty is widely spread all over the Philippines. Many People, less jobs equals to a life of poverty. Yet it does not imply that this is the only thing that can solve the whole problem. It is a way, yes. It is because when the parents will be informed on how to plan their family they will be able to see other factors such as their financial capability of building a family.

The bill isn’t promising riches to every family when they have a smaller family but it will give them the capability of providing all the needs of their children even if they earn less. Thus it will give them a more convenient life.

We must also respect the separation of the church and state under our constitution as stated in Article II section 6. Though, I am not against the church. I, myself is very much conscious about spirituality that’s why I believe that God also wants His people to develop a sense of responsibility in the things they do and to make them experience a comfortable life here on Earth.

RH bill is definitely not promoting immorality. It simply wants to give every Filipino family a comfortable life without worries about food and education for their children. Let us stop complicating things. Look into it as a step of progress and development for the country. :)

Loving your Enemy

Matthew 5:43-44 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. The first step to love our enemies is to pray for them. Jesus said, ‘pray for those who persecute you.’ If we pray for our enemies, something mysterious happens inside us. It is like pouring icy cold water to your sizzling emotions. When we continue to pray goodness for our enemies everyday, one day you’ll realize that your anger has gone. And once we have removed our anger, we can start doing good things for them such as: Forgiving and forgetting about their sins against us. Forgiveness is an act of the will of the heart. And Christian forgiveness means that when we forgive, we also forget. Love keeps no record of wrongs. Reaching out to them. We do not just forgive our enemies, we also take steps to be closer to them. Real forgiveness demands restoration of relationship. Just like how Go...

There is no Fear in the Light

Psalms 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? Fear is darkness . And there is only one solution to darkness, it is LIGHT. There can only be darkness when there is an absence of light. Same with our fears, we can overcome all of it using the liberating light of God. The Lord is our light and our salvation, whom shall we fear? Fear is controlled by our doubts but our Faith controls certainty. Fear sees darkness, while faith sees light. While fear sees wickedness, faith sees the goodness of the Lord. Nothing and no one can stop the light of God. So whenever we have the light of God, there can never be a shadow of darkness in our lives.   Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) If we obey His commandments, we follow His examples and...

Godly Silence

Psalm 46:10 BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. IMPORTANCE OF SILENCE In Psalms, God instructs us to be silent and to stop or pause to see how He works. It is important that we learn when to pause, and start listening to God. Because in Silence, God speaks to us. Why do we have to be silent? In Silence, we feel God’s presence. We hear God’s voice. We cannot hear the voice of the Spirit if we let the noise of this world and our own mind keep on going. Especially in times of troubles, what we need the most is to be silent, pray and talk to God and we’ll feel better and at peace with Him. In Silence, we unite with nature, we refresh our soul and we grow. See the trees, the flowers, the stars and the moon, see how they move in silence. They move beautifully. In silence we can also move beautifully and gracefully, carefully guided by the Holy Spirit. In silence, we see what God can do. We don’t just feel Him, we see how great His works are. God moves in the most unexpe...
